What will happen in this session?

During our workshop, we’ll go through a series of basic privacy tips ranging from secure browsing, encryption and use of the anonymity tool TOR which could be used for a diverse type of audiences, from non-experts to those already initiated and using some of the features that we will present.

Depending on the number of participants, we will split in different groups and show how specific tools would work on the following sections: Safe browsing, Encryption and Secure Messaging.

What is the goal or outcome of our session?

The goal would be to empower the attendees with concrete tools that they can and will use off-the-shell with us, so they feel both empowered and ready to empower others. In a nutshell, this is a quick self-defense workshop on privacy tools.

This event aims at providing basic training and *hands-on guidance for increased online security*. Since it is a hands-on session for beginners and experts alike, please bring your smartphones, laptops, tablets etc.

Places are limited to 30, so registration is necessary.
